What's new on NAGRP animal genome web site (#1, 2009)
o A long waited feature -- data download is now made possible on the
Animal QTLdb. Users can download QTL data per chromosome by browsing to
respective chromosomes, by click on a chromosome from one of the links:
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/...-bin/QTLdb/SS/browse
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/...-bin/QTLdb/BT/browse
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/...-bin/QTLdb/GG/browse
o On the QTL chromosomal view pages, users also have options to download
subsets of data when the view is refined by key word search. This feature
is useful for users to focus on his/her pre-defined data scope. An example
of such download:

o GBrowse is setup to display genome tracks for cattle and chicken, with
QTL locations aligned to the respective genomes. On the alignment view,
QTL details can be viewed with pop-up text box by mouse-over the QTL
line, or for further QTL details by clicking on the QTL line.

URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/...bin/gbrowse/chicken/
o Animal QTLdb main pages for cattle, pigs and chicken are revised to
accommodate the recently implemented changes for users to easily locate
the needed service links:
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/QTLdb/pig.html
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/QTLdb/cattle.html
URL: http://www.animalgenome.org/QTLdb/chicken.html
o An ontology web browser tool from the GO consortium, AmiGO, is setup
for Animal Trait Ontology browse and search. The new AmiGO is much
improved for browse and search.

o A web-based program, CateGOrizer (previously known as "GO Terms
Categorization Counter"), is officially released for public use. The
tool is designed to batch analyze GO class categories, useful in GO
class analysis for large EST or microarray studies. A paper by Hu
et al published on OJB 9(2):108-112, describes the tool.
