The H2020 project BovReg is excited to pre-announce the “Reproducible
genomics workflows using Nextflow and nf-core” workshop that will take
place online during November 17-20 2020.
This workshop, organized by the CRG (Centre for Genomic Regulation in
Barcelona), will be a great opportunity for the animal genomics community
to learn how to implement bioinformatics workflows following best practices
in terms of computational reproducibility and interoperability using
Nextflow. Nextflow has become one of the more popular bioinformatics
workflow managers. Its large set of features provide the toolkit to
implement fully portable, replicable, scalable workflows in a seamless
manner. The workshop will include a Nextflow tutorial and hackathon,
Keynote speakers, and contributed talks selected from participants
abstracts.
BovReg members will have priority for registration but the workshop will
also be opened to GENE-SWitCH and AQUA-FAANG members as well as other FAANG
related groups.
Nextflow tutorial + keynote and attendees talks will be scheduled during
mornings (tentatively scheduled from 9:30 to 13:00) while the hackathon
will take place during afternoons (tentatively scheduled from 14:00 to
16:30).
