The 2026 World Congress on Genetics Applied to Livestock Production
(WCGALP) will be held July 12-17, 2026, in Madison, Wisconsin at the
Monona Terrace.
WCGALP is the premier international conference for livestock and animal
genetics. The meeting brings together specialists and students in animal
breeding, genetics, genomics, and related disciplines. Reflecting the broad
impact of advances in the field, the congress also attracts researchers in
plant breeding and human genetics who contribute insights relevant to
animal agriculture.
During the congress, participants share knowledge and explore innovations
in genetics applied to domestic animals, including livestock, poultry,
horses, companion animals, and farmed aquatic species and insects.
