(Dec 27, 2012): A sum of 1,249 new QTL added to the database. The current total number of QTL in the database: 18,815 [Breakdown by species -- Cattle: 6,305; Chicken: 3,442; Pig: 8,315; Sheep: 753; Rainbow trout: 88] (New additions less obsolete ones: Cattle: 385; Chicken: 0; Pig: 864; Sheep: 0; Rainbow trout: 0 -- Net increase: 1,249). ( This is a joint release with the first CorrDB release)

Functions: More data fields are added to the Animal QTLdb data download files (e.g. "test models", "significant levels", and "map types") so that users can sort them out on their own.
