International Symposium on Animal Functional Genomics & FAANG Workshop

Location: National Wine Centre, Adelaide, Australia
Brief info:
The 2018 ISAFG conference will be held over 2 and a half days and will
include an exciting blend of plenary sessions, invited poster presentations
and industry workshops of interest to animal geneticists and scientists from
around the world. Keynote speakers will reflect a wide variety of important
and topical areas in animal genomic research. The Symposium will be
followed by a one day FAANG workshop and then, one and a half days of
associated bioinformatics short courses

Animal Genetics and Diseases

Location: Hinxton, Cambridge, UK
Brief info:
This meeting will showcase recent advances in genomics, genome editing, and mathematical techniques to understand disease resistance, pathogen evolution and vaccination success. We will discuss the progress and the lessons learned from combining genomic technologies with advanced quantitative methods to combat epidemics and improve livestock systems. The programme will also present advances of precision medicine in companion animals, translational medicine, as well as the societal issues and challenges surrounding animal welfare and regulation.
