Subject: More functional SNPs needed for sheep HD SNP chip - date
  extended to 8th August 2012
Date: Fri, 03 Aug 2012 07:38:20 -0500

Hi All

We still need more functional SNPs for the sheep HD SNP chip. If your
group has identified any functional SNPs or there are any you know
about please submit them to Rudiger Brauning
<Rudiger.Brauningagresearch.co.nz>. Please send them with 150 bases
flanking sequence each side (if possible) with the SNP identified
within square brackets e.g. [C/A]. Please identify any other SNPs in
flanking sequence. Please indicate what sort of SNP it is e.g.
transcription factor site in promoter, non-synonymous amino acid
change (please indicate amino acid change e.g. Y34N), premature stop
codon, frame-shift, amino acid(s) deletion, etc. So far SNPs have
been submitted for the following Gene Symbols
ADAMTS2
APOM
ASIP
BAT2
BAT5
BCO2
BMP15
BMPR1B
C23H6orf136-like protein gene
CCR5
CDSN
CLN5
CLN6
CLPG
CNGA3
CTSD
DDR1 and IER3 intergenic spacer
DMP1
EDNRB
FGFR3
FLOT1-TUBB intergenic spacer
G6B
GBA
GDF8
GDF9
GDF9
GNL1-RPP21 intergenic spacer
HR
HSP90AA1
HSPCA
KAP7
KAP8
LAMC2
LEP
LEP
LEP
LOC788708 and hypothetical protein intergenic spacer
MC1R
MHC class I - more needed
MHC class II - more needed
NG22
NRM
PITX3
POU5F1 and TCF1
PPP1R10-PRR3 intergenic spacer
PRNP
PYGM
RPP21-LOC512672 intergenic spacer
TLR5
TMEM154
TNXB
TYRP1
UROD

There have been lots more functional SNPs identified for sheep and it
would be good to get as many as possible on the chip.

Regards

Jill
