Subject: Research Physiologist position in USDA ARS

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service is hiring a full-time Research
Physiologist at the Warmwater Aquaculture Research Unit (WARU) in
Stoneville, MS. The incumbent will work with a team of scientists who
develop technologies that improve the efficiency, profitability, and
sustainability of fish farming in the United States. WARU scientists utilize
genomic selection in catfish species to improve the genetic potential of
purebred  strains and interspecific hybrids, and also develop production
technologies that help producers realize the genetic gains. The incumbent
will focus primarily on improvement of reproductive efficiency and embryo
survival. Prior experience in fish physiology is desirable but not a
prerequisite. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated scientist to
perform applied research that can be directly translated to industry. More
