Dear Colleagues,
I hope that you are all doing well and staying safe during this pandemic.
We are pleased to announce a call for manuscripts to a special issue
research topic entitled “The Use of Genomic Information in the Improvement
of Beef Cattle Production” in the journal Animals.
The aim of this special issue is to contribute to the use of genomic
information to improve selection, mating decisions and the overall
production of beef cattle. Moreover, it will contribute to the
identification of causative/functional variants, genomic prediction and
the understanding of genetic mechanisms underlying economically important
and complex traits in beef cattle. Contributions to the special issue may
cover reports on genomic selection, variations linked to various phenotypes,
the use of multi-omics information, the interaction of genetics and
environment, and related topics.
Submissions will be handled by two guest editors:
Dr. El Hamidi Hay (USDA/ARS, Miles City, MT, USA) and
Dr. Tiago Paim (Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Goiano,
Brazil).
