students through the execution of methods in genetics, genomics, and
bioinformatics. In this role, the individual will serve as a consultant to
faculty and students wishing to implement genomic methods into their
research programs. This includes assisting in experimental design,
execution, and analysis. The selected applicant will be responsible for
performing research implementing molecular and genomic methods that will
include activities such as RNA/DNA isolation, quantitative PCR, DNA
polymorphism analysis, cell culture, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics.
The successful candidate also will have the willingness and ability to
summarize data, aid in interpretations, and develop materials for
publication. Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability

communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Job Functions: -
Design and conduct experiments using genetic, genomic, and bioinformatics
methods - Process biological samples for molecular analyses of
DNA/RNA/protein - Conduct experiments including, but not limited to, in
vitro culture, in vivo systems, PCR, RT-qPCR, genotyping, DNA sequencing,
and bioinformatics analysis. - Operate lab equipment - Execute activities
of research projects as planned in a timely manner - Record observations
and scientific findings - Organize and maintain data records - Analyze and
summarize collected data - Prepare research reports using tables, graphs,
