Max,
Congratulations!!! What a great career you have! Your footprint is huge,
as Zhiliang put it, from classical/quantitative genetics to molecular gene
mapping and to the era of high-throughput genomics/selection, from the
entire 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s,and 2020s and beyond, from America,
Asia, to Africa. Your students and postdocs are everywhere. You have been
a great colleague, mentor friend, and role model.

Keep in touch!

John

Wao!
Such a kind-hearted and dedicated man, who did all within his powers to get
my visiting scholar position through the Fulbright Exchange Programme to
fruition but unfortunately it didn't work out. I cannot forget that in a
hurry, as he made all the paper works from his end ready but the people from
the Fulbright end didn't make it work. I am using this medium to echo his
kind-heartedness to this community, and wish him well in this retirement
phase of his life.

Looking forward to meeting you again at the Visions conference in May 2021
dear "Distinguished Professor Emeritus".

Kindest regards
Victor Mela Okoro
