Quantifiable Animal Performance; 4) Student and Stakeholder Engagement; and
5) Safety, Quality, and Nutrition of Food Products. The appointee will
develop a graduate course in epigenetics and assist in undergraduate
education associated with the recently revised curriculum. Investigators
that utilize domestic livestock species and/or laboratory animals as
research models for mammalian health and animal production are encouraged to
apply. Applicants demonstrating significant success in research productivity
and accomplishments may also be eligible for the Burkhart Endowed
Professorship for Beef Cattle Research. Distributions from this endowment
must be used in accordance with the terms of the agreement and in accordance
with University guidelines in the Department of Animal Science within the
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Genetics, Animal Science, or related field with
emphasis on epigenetics is required. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
Evidence of outstanding research potential is required for consideration for
appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. Prior faculty-level experience,
evidence of successful grantsmanship, and outstanding research
accomplishments are required for appointment at the Associate Professor

many high-quality academic units conducting research with small and large
animal models. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive
salary, startup package and laboratory space with shared equipment, and
access to animal facilities and core laboratories operated by the Department
of Animal Science, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, the College of Agriculture
and Life Sciences, and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical
Sciences. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with a broad
range of TAMU System researchers who participate in several
interdisciplinary programs, including the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program
in Genetics, Interdisciplinary Faculty of Reproductive Biology, the Texas
A&M Institute of Neuroscience, the Texas A&M Institute of Genome Sciences
and Society, the Global One Health Initiative, and individuals within the
Department of Animal Science, the College of Veterinary Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences, and the TAMU College of Medicine.

APPLICATION PROCESS: Applicants must submit: 1) letter of interest, 2)
curriculum vitae, 3) two-page statement of teaching and research plans, and
