Subject: Neogen sponsorship for African participants of the
course on genomic diversity in December in
       Wageningen
Date: Sun, 13 Oct 2019 08:07:37 -0500

Dear all,

We are delighted to inform you that there is a sponsorship available for
the course Characterization, management and exploitation of genomic
diversity in animals in Wageningen December 9-13th
(https://cutt.ly/IMAGEcourse2019).

The sponsorship of £700 is offered by Neogen, who provide an extensive
range of agrigenomic services and solutions for food and animal safety.
Neogen work alongside large breed associations, genetic evaluation
providers, companion animal breed registries, academic researchers and
directly with individual farmers.

Neogen Genomics is pleased to offer the new IMAGE Genomic Diversity Arrays
for genotyping. Neogen also offers SNP genotyping on GeneSeek Genomic
Profiler(tm) (GGP) chips to detect a range of traits including parentage,
genetic recessives and mutations for a range of different species and
provides genotyping services from off the shelf and consortia genotyping
arrays for the Affymetrix and Illumina platforms.

Eligible are applicants from African countries working in an African
research environment (university/institute). Applicants need to have some
experience handling SNP genotype data. One candidate will be selected by
organisers of the course. The money will be reimbursed after attending the
course. Please be aware that this will not cover all expenses.

Application deadline for the sponsorship is October 31st. Applicants are
requested to submit an abstract of maximum 1 A4, describing i) their
motivation to participate in the course, ii) their own research, and iii)
their experience with genotype data. Submissions to be sent to
image.course2019wur.nl with subject "Neogen sponsorship".

Details of the course can be found below.

With kind regards,
