(Research Associate) to join the newly established lab at the Animal
Biologics Discovery Program of the Department of Animal and Diary Sciences
at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Guo lab is generally interested in muscle biology (cardiac and skeletal
muscles). We study posttranscriptional regulatory mechanisms that spatially
and temporally control gene expression during muscle development, growth
and regeneration as well as under disease conditions.

We also study animal by-products to discover new bioactive molecules or
peptides benefiting animal industry and human health. Individuals with a
solid background in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, and/or
muscle biology are strongly encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome
applications from interested individuals with a background in biomedical
science, genetics, epigenetics and bioinformatics. The successful
candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary and well-recognized
team with expertise in cardiovascular research, molecular/cellular
biology, biochemistry, genetics and physiology etc. and will have
opportunities to conduct research with industry partners.

The applicants must have a Ph.D. degree with training in muscle biology,
molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, animal science or related
area. The successful candidate must be proficient in spoken and written
English, a team player and have a strong work ethic.
