We are seeking applicants for postdoctoral research associate position
within the Animal Sciences Department of NDSU.

This is a fully benefitted position (including health insurance) with a
12 month term.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is part of collaborative project
between the Genetics, Nutrition, and Reproduction research clusters to
investigate the effects of pre- and perinatal maternal nutrition on fetal
developmental programing in beef cattle. This project will focus on
transcriptional and epigenetic analyses of fetal tissues collected at d 84
of gestation. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): sample
collection, sequencing library preparation (e.g. RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and/or
RRBS), bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data, and manuscript
preparation. Previous experience with bioinformatic analysis is a strong
asset but not a requirement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * PhD in animal science, biology, biochemistry,
molecular biology, or related field * Demonstrated experience with
molecular genetic and/or epigenetic analyses * Ability to effectively
communicate both orally and in writing * Ability to effectively work both
independently and in teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated experience with bioinformatic analyses
* Previous experience working with livestock handling and sample collection
* Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals

APPOINTMENT: 12-month term (1.0 FTE)

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary is $30,000 per year plus benefits. A
