BioStat Solutions, Inc. (BSSI) is an analytical consulting corporation in
service to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, government and biodefense
industries. BSSI’s key service areas include the development and
implementation of analytical strategies for biomarker studies, precision
medicine and clinical studies.

*Job Objective:*
Senior Statistician to function as an independent statistician in support
of management in design, analysis and interpretation of complex data at BSSI

*Details:*
*Senior Statistician includes these responsibilities:*

- Serve in a leadership role for Statisticians / Statistical Analysts by
  offering technical expertise and guidance towards achieving project-related
  or company-related goals
- Design, analyze and interpret disease and drug response data for
  clients
- Independent project development, including but not limited to,
  ascertainment of client needs, recommendations on statistical methodology,
  and authoring Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
- Critically evaluate optimum analytical methodology for individual
  projects
- Report findings in Statistical Analysis Reports, executive summaries
  and slide presentations
- Interact with clients through emails, conference calls and on-site
  visits
- Actively participate in resource planning (i.e. planning of individual
  projects and strategic resource allocation)
- Support BSSI’s Business Development efforts through delivery of
  superior work product and effective communication with clients and team
  members
- Consider effect of biomarkers in stratification of disease, response
  and patient population

*In addition to the responsibilities of the Statistician position:*

- Perform statistical analysis and programming (R, SAS, and other
  appropriate languages such as Python)
- Provide analysis, quality control and validation for manufacturing
  studies
- Assist clients by providing analytical strategies in major therapeutic
  areas and diseases
- Conduct work in accordance with BSSI standard operating procedures
  (SOPs), BSSI QA/QC policies, client-specific requirements and applicable
  regulatory guidelines
- Serve in the Project Lead role (described in BSSI’s SOPs) as
  appropriate
- Validate statistical results with team members to ensure high quality
  deliverables
- Provide technical writing for analysis plans, protocols and regulatory
  documents as needed, and summarize results (i.e. tables, figures and
  listings) for inclusion in presentations or reports
- Provide guidance to staff with respect to statistical methodology and
  programming
- Participate in internal research and development activities
- Collaborate in research efforts and write scientific reports
- Attend on site client visits and present findings as needed


*Qualifications:*

- Ph.D. REQUIRED. Preferred Degree in: Biostatistics
- At least 3-5 years of industry specific work experience
- Proven experience with SDTM, ADaM and CDISC data and specifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent communications skills
- Demonstrated writing ability in English
- Demonstrated expertise in the theory and application of biostatistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency in R, SAS
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Efficient time management
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the
