Nofima AS is one of Europe's largest business-oriented research institutes
that conducts research and development for the aquaculture industry, the
fishing industry and the food industry. We provide internationally
recognized research and solutions that provide the business community with

office in Tromsø, and research activities in Alta, Bergen, Stavanger,

Research director Breeding and genetics

Nofima seeks new research director for the Department Breeding and Genetics
in the Aquaculture Division. The research director is part of the
division's management team, and will contribute to developing the
aquaculture division and Nofima further by strengthening the company's
position as a research institute that creates competitive advantages for
its customers. The Research Department Breeding and genetics will
contribute to the sustainable development of aquaculture through research
on breeding and genetics of established and new aquaculture species.

The aquaculture division has more than 140 employees with four research
departments, two laboratories and a fish trial facility at Sunndalsøra.
The Department of Breeding and Genetics has 13 employees, with the majority
being researchers with a doctoral degree.

Are you a confident leader motivated by achieving good results with others?
If you have relevant education with experience from knowledge-intensive and
industry-related business, then this is perhaps the position you are
looking for. You should have experience from research, have a structured
and delegating leadership style and good ability to build relationships and
networks. Good communication skills in Norwegian, both written and oral
will be emphasized.
