QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | The experiment wa based on a 3-generation full-sib design. The resource family was created using 7 unrelated Pietrain grandsires and 16 unrelated granddams of a crossbred line(Large White x Landrace x Leicoma). 315 pigs of the F2 generation were used |
Breeds associated:

|
Design: | Lean-meat percentage and separate weights of valuable carcass cuts were measured using the AutoFOM device. Besides these, standard perfomance traits were measured. |
Analysis: | Regression analysis of the F2 population was computed with QTL Express using the line-cross least-squares multi-marker regression interval mapping program. |
Software: | QTL Express |
