    Animals:Rainbow trout were from a cross between the Hofer strain (whirling disease resistant) and the Colorado River strain (whirling disease susceptible).
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
    Design:Fish were genotyped for 21 AFLPs and 122 microsatellite markers and analyzed for whirling disease susceptibility. A subset of the markers were used in families analyzed for QTL confirmation.
    Analysis:The non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test was initially used, followed by interval mapping.
