    Animals:Twenty red junglefowl and 31 White Leghorns were used in the study.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
    Design:Body weight was taken at 1, 8, 46, 112, and 200 d of age. Total egg weight, metabolic body weight, plumage condition, and number of eggs produced was recorded. All birds were exposed to a series of behavioral tests.
    Analysis:All animals were genotyped for 105 genetic markers evenly distributed in the genome. QTL analysis was performed on the 25 autosomal linkage groups covered usig the line cross least squares based method.
