QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were 280 cows from 10 commercial dairy farms in Mexico with three production systems: 1) Dual Purpose, composed of Simmental, Holstein, Brown Swiss, or Zebu; Familiar Production System, composed mainly of Holstein; and Specialized Tropical Dairy, composed mainly of Holstein, Brown Swiss, and their crosses. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the GGP Bovine LD V4 chip or the GGP Bovine 150K chip and analyzed for methane emissions during milking. A total of 21,958 SNPs were used for GWAS. |
Analysis: | Linear regression models were used. |
Software: | SAS, Golden Helix SVS |
