QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were Brangus cattle. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the Illumina Bovine GGP F250 array and analyzed for hair length. A total of 109,538 SNPs were used for analysis. |
Analysis: | Hair length phenotypes were pre-adjusted for the fixed effect collection group using linear model procedures in R. The residuals from these models were used in GWASs using the univariate procedures of GEMMA that fitted a single, standardized, genomic relationship matrix to account for the genetic covariance among animals. |
Software: | PLINK, GEMMA, R software |
