    Animals:A paternal half-sib family of 348 steers was constructed from carcass data and pedigree records collected by the Japan Waygu Registry Association.
     Breeds associated:

    Design:Traits measured included ADG, body weight, carcass weight, LM area, rib thickness, carcass yield estimate, and beef marbling score.
    Analysis:A linear regression analysis was performed and F-statistic profiling was performed with the interval mapping method for half-sib family analysis.
