NUCLEUS
Within the cell are a variety of membrane covered organelles, which act somewhat like the organs in our body. Each serves a specific role in maintaining the cell. The area we are focusing on is the nucleus. Within the nucleus, a variety of functions are performed, such as protein synthesis and DNA replication. The material you see inside the nucleus is commonly referred to as chromosomes.
