HOW TO USE THE DATABASE
The Database consists primarily of three tables
QTL :
This table contains all the necessary information from the
statistical analysis of the eQTL data.
Array
Annotation : This table contains information about the
annotation for the transcripts used in the study. You can choose the
any of the fields listed below. Fields in Blue can also be
restricted by the criteria you choose. Click on the fields to get
more information on how to do this
HGNC
Well Plate
Block
Column
Row
Contig ID
Flanking
Marker Information : This table contains information about the
closest flanking markers for the QTL under consideration. You can
request for previous, post or both of the closest flanking markers.
The fields in this table are enumerated below. To see how to
restrict your search between two flanking markers click on either of
the fields below.
Select one or more of the tables depending on the information that you would like query for. Within each table selection, you are allowed to select any combination of fields. Additionally, a particular selection criteria for the fields selected can be imposed if the criteria box exists e.g. you can select for all records with p-values < 0.05. If you have no clue about what the fields represent details of the fields and how to select for each table are given below.
